On this page, you will find important information relating to the preparation of your trip to Madagascar. Completion of entry and stay formalities is the responsibility of each traveler. The duration of tourist stay in Madagascar is currently limited to 90 days. For any stay of less than three months, an entry and stay visa is mandatory. It pays off in all cases. This so-called non-immigration visa cannot be extended or converted into a long-stay visa and does not give the right to the exercise of a remunerated activity.

Your single and residence visa for Madagascar can be issued upon arrival at IVATO airport. Alternatively, you can obtain it before your arrival, from diplomatic and consular representations in your country of residence.

IMPORTANT

On your arrival in Madagascar, the following documents will be required by the authorities for your access to the country:

Your passport valid for 6 months after the return date. The passport must have at least 2 blank pages face to face for your visa application.

The paper copy of your international round trip electronic ticket. Any passenger who does not present this document runs the risk of being turned away by the authorities.

A return or onward ticket, with visas or residence permit for the country of return or onward if necessary.

An accommodation address: a hotel name is sufficient. Parental authorization will be required for a minor child traveling with only one of his parents.
